Wisdom tooth ache

Wisdom tooth ache usually occurs due to the following reasons:

  • Small periphery of the mouth.
  • No place for the wisdom tooth to erupt due to less place at the corner section.
  • Large size of the tooth.
  • Gums not spreading enough to give space for the tooth to come out.

In usual cases, if the wisdom tooth fails to erupt completely, the gums at the back of the tooth form a tissue flap or lump which is called as operculum. This causes extreme pain at the site of wisdom tooth eruption which is called or known as wisdom tooth ache.
