  • Clindamycin:

    This antibiotic is prescribed for those individuals who show allergic reaction to the penicillin group of antibiotics. This antibiotic helps prevent and eliminate the infection by stopping the bacterial growth. This is available as Cleocin (the brand name) in the tablets form. It must be taken on prescribed duration at equal intervals, as stopping the medication treatment can result in the bacterial growth again. This antibiotic can also show some side effects such as vomiting, diarrhea and nausea.

  • Co-amoxiclav:

    This antibiotic contains a combination of amoxicillin trihydrate and potassium clavulanate. This antibiotic is available under some of the brand names of Augmentin, Synermox, Exclav, etc. This may have some minor side effects like nausea or diarrhea.
