Brush and Floss every day:
Make sure to brush your teeth twice a day. Once, just before going to bed. Floss your teeth after every meal as it helps to remove the food particles and plaque. For a proper technique of brushing and flossing, consult your dentist.
Use fluoride containing toothpaste:
It is better to use a toothpaste which contains fluoride. Dentist are also recommending fluoride containing mouth wash for rinsing. Because fluoride helps to provide protection to the teeth and also helps the healthy growth of teeth.
Use soft, polished bristled toothbrush:
As hard bristled toothbrushes damage the tooth enamel, it is better use a soft, polished bristled toothbrush. Make it a point to change your toothbrush every three months.
Eat only healthy food:
Avoid eating junk foods, sugary foods and snacks, because they don’t provide essential nutrients and protection from bacteria. Healthy food provides all the essential nutrients and helps to fight and protect the teeth and gums from bacteria. Therefore, it is good to maintain a healthy diet.
Avoid using tobacco products:
People who use tobacco products may develop irritated gums and teeth. It may also lead to unhealthy teeth which can result in gum diseases. Thus, it is better to avoid the use of tobacco products.
Regular dental care:
Consult your dentist on a regular basis, as he/she will be able to tell you the condition of the teeth and jaws. They will be able to provide a better treatment and cure. Thus, visit your dentist at least once in 6 months.
