Easy Teeth Whitening Tips

According to a survey by the Journal of Dentistry, every year the Americans spend about $300 on an average to whiten their teeth. Instead of spending hundreds of dollars at a dentist’s office for teeth whitening, the American dental association suggests some teeth whitening tips that are easy to practise and cost-effective.

Easy Teeth Whitening Tips

The most important tip to keep the teeth stain free is to brush the teeth after every meal or at least rinse them well with water after eating or drinking anything.

Bacteria is one of the important causes for discolored teeth. Flossing twice a day will remove any bacteria left in the corners and avoid staining.

Baking Soda:

Baking soda helps a lot in whitening the teeth. Mix one tea spoon of baking soda and one tea spoon of salt and add few droplets of water to make it as a paste. Use this paste to clean your teeth (maximum two times a week), you can see very good results within a month.

Hydrogen Peroxide:

Hydrogen peroxide is very helpful in removing the bacteria and plaque. Mix one tea spoon of baking soda to 5ml of hydrogen peroxide, use your finger to apply the paste on the teeth. This removes the yellow layer formed on the teeth.

Hydrogen Peroxide Mouth Wash:

Hydrogen peroxide (H2O2) can also be used as a mouth wash, dilute 10ml of H2O2 in 100ml of water and use the solution to rinse your teeth. You may see bubbles as the bacteria gets killed.

Fruit Peel:

Using banana peel and orange peel (inside part) can whiten your teeth. Rub your teeth with the inside white portion of an orange or banana peel for two minutes. You can see good results in couple of weeks.

Pepper Powder:

Mix equal portions of pepper powder and salt, use it to clean your teeth. This might be a slow process but an effective one to maintain the whiteness.
