Periodontal Disease

  • This is an advanced form of gum disease, leading to loss of teeth and, even jaw bones.
  • It is better to treat this type of problems at primary stages (gingivitis).
  • Periodontal disease can cause bad breath, tooth sensitivity and severe headache.
  • Initial stages of this disease can be cured using scaling, scraping and laser treatment
  • Advanced stages require surgical procedures for treatment.

Oral Cancer

  • Oral Cancer is very serious and deadly disease that can be formed in any part of your mouth or in your throat.
  • According to American Dental Association, males above 40 years and having the habit of smoking, drinking and having other cancers are at higher risk to these type of cancers
  • Most of these cancers begin in the floor of your mouth and in the tongue
  • It can be cured better if diagnosed in early stages

Tooth Erosion

  • Tooth erosion is the loss of your tooth structure due to the acid attack on the enamel and roots
  • Usual symptoms include discoloration and tooth sensitivity.
  • More advanced form of erosion can lead to small dents and tooth cracking
  • If left untreated erosion can cause serious damage to your teeth
  • It is better to get an advise from your dentist on getting it treated

Mouth Sores

  • Usually mouth sores are pesky and bothersome, there are several types in these mouth sores.
  • Mostly these kind of sores can be ignored as they are not deadly, and disappear on their own.
  • They usually last only for few days, less than ten days, and if they last more than two weeks then it is better to consult a dentist.
  • Some of the common mouth sores include cold sores, canker sores, fever blisters, thrush and ulcers
